WELCOME TO FRESH START®

Fresh Start
is a diocesan-led program that seeks to foster healthy relationships among clergy, their congregations and their dioceses during critical periods of transition. Encouraging open and honest discussion of transitional issues affecting both clergy and congregations, the program’s goal is to build a culture in which the mutual ministry of the clergy and congregation starts off on the right foot, enabling their new relationship to begin with a “Fresh Start”.

fresh start is a collaborative ministry of the Episcopal Church, with creative contributions from the Anglican Church of Canada.

FS 3.11 Curriculum

We are proud to announce the introduction of FS 3.11 Curriculum. As you may deduce from the title, FS3.11 is a slight update to FS 3.1. We cleaned up a number of small items and incorporated references to the new web-based Fresh Start in the Search Process. We also upgraded all of the PowerPoint files, making them compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010. Additionally, we have added an extra online PDF file for each module that contains copies of the notes pages of the PowerPoint files, which should make it easier for those who do not wish to use PowerPoint to have access to the material. Please see the FS 3.11 Curriculum section on the Facilitators tab. If you do not have access to that password-protected page, why not sign up to attend our April Facilitator Training, which will authorize you full access to all Fresh Start material - see below.

Fresh Start in the Search Process: A Resource for Diocesan Transition Ministers.  With this resource, Fresh Start materials now also cover the early stages of a congregation's transition - from the announcement that the current clergyperson is leaving through the call of his/her replacement.
